Fire Safety . . .
This season we had a close call with a fire starting due to a glass lying on dry grass. Fortunately there were plenty of fire extinguishers on hand and it was dealt with quickly.
The incident did remind us of how easily these things can happen, and of the need to have plenty of equipment handy to deal with something such as this. Keep the fire extinguishers handy, ready for immediate use. Plenty of water nearby and some towels which can be damped down to use on fires is a very good idea as well. Fires grow very quickly, so immediate action is the best idea. Also, discuss a plan with your family for what you would do if something such as this occurred.
